How do I buy cacao beans from Ingemann?

Whether you’re an experienced chocolate maker or new to cacao creations, we are here to help you craft your next chocolate delicacy with our expertly sourced delicious and unique cacaos.

Step 1:

Email Pavel ( pav@ingemann.com.ni ). He will introduce you to our beans, and help you find the bean flavors you need. We sell cacao by the sack (25 kg/sack depending on the location and lot number) which are housed in Portland, USA, Managua, Nicaragua or one of our distributors.

Step 2:

We can arrange domestic shipping through freight channels for 100Kg of cacao or more.

Step 3:

You can expect to receive your sack about 2 weeks after you place your order (For airfreight and ground shipping orders only).

For containers orders timing varies according to location.

What origins are available now? When will out of stock origins be available?

We try to keep all samples and varieties available, but please contact us by phone or email for the most up to date availability on our beans, as they are subject to selling out before new beans arrive in stock.

Can I purchase samples before committing to a larger order?

Yes! Actually we can give samples of 1kg for free and you would only need to arrange your shipping. If needed we can also arrange for shipping for you through UPS or DHL and we can invoice the cost of shipping.

For samples larger than 1kg, please contact Pavel to make arrangements as they will likely have to be sent directly from Nicaragua.

What is the lead time on orders?

If the cacao is already warehoused in the USA (Portland), Nicaragua (Managua) or one of our distributors, we ask that you leave 10 business days for your order.

Once you submit payment, the warehouse requires 3 business days to prepare, palletize and wrap your shipment. Then we ship your order, which normally takes up to 7 business days.

How much do beans cost?

Please contact Pavel ( pav@ingemann.com.ni) for the latest price information!

How are beans shipped?

Within the US we can organize shipping.  In Europe, our distributor Daarnhouwer will coordinate shipping for you. From Nicaragua, LCL orders can be send by airfreights and FCL by Sea Freight. You are also free to arrange your own shipping if you preferred.

For further questions please contact Pavel Arana (pav@ingemann.com.ni).

How do I pay for beans?

We ask that you pay for beans upfront if this is our first time working together. You can pay through Bank transfer and we also accept credit card.

What type of testing does Ingemann offer for their cacao?

We test our beans for heavy metals and microbes every harvest. Please contact us for lab analysis for the beans in your order.
